Building is a huge part of Rust. Throughout the history of Building the building community of rust has come up with its own terms for different types of building techniques and methods. This Guide will cover the different terms typically used when building

# Airlocks
The placement of 2 or more opposing doors within a single foundation that are needed to be opened in order to enter/exit your base. The positioning of the open, innermost door blocks other players immediate access into your base and prevents them from "going deep" to gain access to your loot storage. They can also provide views of the immediate area outside of your entrance, as well as clever angles to shoot through when defending your base from raiders.

Here are some examples of commonly used airlocks.

These airlock's above are considered "smart airlock" because you need to close a door at least once to fit through the doorway. You can also use normal airlocks that only requires you to open the doors to enter

# Honeycomb
Using multiple layers of walls, horizontally or vertically, to make raiding through that layered side more expensive
